NIGERIANS FOR GOOD GOVERNMENT POLICIES

For those of you who have been following the events in Nigeria for some years now, there is absolutely no dispute in the saying that some of the government's socio-economic, political, domestic and international policies have not achieved the purposes for which they were aimed at. In some circumstances, it is equally not a fallacy or exaggeration to believe that some of the government's policies are prejudiced against certain groups of Nigerians, ethnicity or Religion, while, in the same token, some policies are formulated for selfish purposes or aimed at protecting certain individuals. In all, these policies result in economic retrogression and anti-people's progress, disunity, bribery, corruption, unemployment, waste of financial and human resources, moral decadence and breeds a disjointed society.

While some of these policies may not be totally the fault of the Leadership of the Federal and State governments, there is a need to have a credible Policy Center to assist our governments in every level in formulating good public policies before they go into law, and to equally evaluate prevailing policies and commend or proffer the best options for the progress of our country and people.

This is the core reason for the birth of the Nigeria Policy Institute, USA. An Institute whose ultimate purpose is to help our governments govern well through formulation and implementation of good public and progressive policies. The Nigeria Policy Institute,USA  represents all Nigerians For Good Government Policies. We do not believe in perennial criticism of our Leaders or our governments. We want to be part of the change, and we can do it through effective monitoring and evaluation of these government policies, and proffering better suggestions on the policies that are deemed retrogressive and anti-people.

If you believe in this Cause and want to know more about the Nigeria Policy Institute,USA  (NPI-USA), or want to be part of this Entity, please visit our web site at http://www.nigeriapolicyinstitute.org and browse through the pages. We welcome your comments/suggestions on the way forward.
